Happy Thanksgiving
We’ve had a busy week but we’re very “thankful” for the opportunity to celebrate Thanksgiving with our friends, the Kauffman’s. They arrived last Tuesday and left on Saturday. On Thanksgiving Eve we received a phone call from a friend of ours from our home church. She shared the wonderful news that our friend, Mark, had a positive report from the doctor’s office. John and I gave thanks that evening before we went to bed just praising the Lord. God is good all of the time, in both good times and bad, but we are so thankful for the encouraging news Mark and his wife received from the doctor. You can continue to pray for Mark as he undergoes chemotherapy for stomach cancer. This family has been such a blessing to ours and it is difficult to hear when loved ones are suffering and we are so far away. We look forward to seeing them at Christmas time. Only 3 more weeks and we’ll be returning to Pennsylvania, to our home church in Millersville, our friends and church family in Reading and of course our families. We trust all of you in the States had a blessed Thanksgiving and we pray that your distractions will be few as we head into the Christmas season.
