Black and White

When we process values through our North American culture, many things seems black and white. Right and wrong is determined by society and for believers... by Scripture as well. However, what about a culture that is not under government law, and has never heard "God's Talk". Right and wrong has been determined by tradition. Stories have been passed down through generations.

In our North American culture, twins are looked at as a blessing. In many tribal cultures, the firstborn twin is good and the latter is considered an evil spirit and left to die. In our culture, domestic abuse is frowned upon. In the tribe it's a way of social control and women can expect to be beaten by their husbands.

Can we make the difference in the lives of tribal people? No! Only God can renew their minds and change their hearts. Please pray for the many missionaries that are learning a new language and culture right now. They are faced with seeing these tragedies and need God's wisdom to know how to deal with them.

Please pray for the people who will hear the truth of "God's talk" for the first time this year. Pray that God would open their hearts and minds as only He can. Please also pray for encouragement for our missionaries as well as more workers. So many want to hear and have no one to tell them.
