Jungle Camp begins

Tomorrow we begin building our Jungle Camp dream home.  This house will be constructed of small trees (poles), plastic, and screening.  Our home is 18 X 26 feet with an “upstairs” loft that will measure 18 X 8.  We ask that you pray for safety as we build.  No power tools are allowed and we can only use 4 nails in construction (to secure our kitchen table top).  We have to secure joints with duct tape and we’re also required to make our own furniture!  Sounds like fun, huh?  We have two whole weeks to complete this process and we hope to update the blog almost daily with pictures so you can see our progress.  We’re also asking prayer for strength as well as unity as we build…not only for the two of us, but all of our classmates as well.

We appreciate you all and your encouragement and support of us as we go through this training process.  We’d love to hear from you as we won’t have any access to phones or computer during our month in Jungle Camp.  We’ll move up June 17 and will come back down on July 14.  If you’d like to send a note or even a care package, we will be receiving mail daily.  You can reach us at:
